Temptation aka Project "A" by NoExtra

NoooooExtra!!

Taking a break from gaming, let's watch a fantastic Atari STe demo by NoExtra released late for STNICCC 2015. This is a striking production with stunning pixels and DMA music by Tomchi, aka Nicolas Flandin. A particularly favourite musician of mine who later left NoExtra and is a member of YM Rockerz.

I have thoroughly enjoyed watching this demo again. The 3D floor part is a belter and reminded me of Alpha Waves. The Hall of Fame screen may appear simple but that "cube" moves with an incredible shadowy effect (that's my technical knowledge for ya!!). The sine scroller part is tiny but I've a fetish for these silky movers - it's totally health, believe me. Hey, maybe I should add this demo to my list of Sine Love?

A beautiful production. This is one of the best demos I have ever seen.

Check out the mighty Demozoo for the download and tons more Atari ST demoscene STuff you will love. Watch my video but (you know what I'm gonna say) it's best enjoyed using a real Atari STe computer!!

Okay, static screenshots never do a demo justice but let's see a few anyways...

Van Eijk Collection

I love finding Atari ST/e demos I've not seen in years and here is one I enjoyed. It's called Van Eijk Collection, developed in 1994 by Van Eijk. A time when most of us had powered off the ST to play Doom...

Anyhow, this is a collection of GFA Basic screens featuring dots, colour cycling, and a familiar tune you will simply adore. The presentation is a little sluggish and a few screens are dated, but there are many that I did enjoy - that morphing is superb. All text is in Polish so don't expect to read anything. Well, unless you're Polish, of course!

This and many other Atari ST videos are on my YouTube Channel.

STrange roboTS

Strange Robots was released in 2013 for Silly Venture by BlaBLa and Mandarin. It's one of those demos I have had on my Ultrasatan since the very beginning and is a personal favourite of mine. I love the unique presentation styles that also display an incredible range of colours with a funky 505 tune enjoyed throughout. What's not to love?

Demozoo has the download which will require an Atari STe with a jaw-dropping 4MB RAM. If you like this, I suggest you look at Circus back²STage, JAPAN beauties and troubles and STreet Art - all amazing demos!!

Here are a couple of tripped-out screenshots from the demo that I love...

We Were @

Note - the video was recorded using an emulator and YouTube suffers the quality somewhat.
If you can, watch it on a real Atari computer - the way it was meant to be enjoyed :-)

This is a brand new demo for the Atari STe and was only released 2 days ago by the mighty Leonard, of Oxygene. Yes, he has always been one of the most uniquely talented programmers but this production blew me away. Check out that Roto Zoomer! Do watch the end credits which feature many interesting details about the coding.

Truly amazing STuff. A beautiful production and undoubtedly one of the best 16-bit demos, ever!! [download]

Here we have a brand-new demo that has just been released & ranked 1st for the "oldskool" combo at Riverwash 2015 party. It requires a juicy 4MB Atari STe and will blow you away! Truly amazing and best viewed using real hardware.
